Special conditions of storage: SCP-1381-RU is recommended to be stored in an airtight glass container 25x25x25 centimetres. The object never should be worn by a child under 14 years of age, as this results in instant brain death of the subject. The cause of this outcome is still being investigated. In the process of experimenting with the object, it was discovered that death occurs due to exhaustion of the wearer's body, while brain death is a consequence of exhaustion. This is because the mask itself is a living organism that needs nourishment. The mask receives this nutrition from a human being, in particular mineral and nutrients. It also turned out that the mask does not change the voice of the host directly, but only muffles it, replacing it with its own timbre.
Description: SCP-1381-RU is a chitin theatrical mask consisting of two elements of different colours representing different emotions. The black element is joy and the white element is sadness. This object is capable of changing the sound of the wearer's voice depending on the wearer's mood, which it determines through the person's brain activity.1 Joy — the person's voice changes to a low male voice with a Spanish accent, sadness — the person's voice changes to a high female voice with a French accent, any other emotion — the voice does not change. Also, at attempt to make a photo of object, it has been found out that the black element of a mask absorbs the most part of light falling on the area in range about 15 centimetres from object that does not allow to make a reliable illustration. For some reason, the object does not have this effect on human perception. 2
